(I shall rephrase what George described to me about this meeting since I unfortunately did not show up.)

So George brought over his third party kit, Dragon Momoko, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs for the club to build and experience. He even kindly brought over a MG Perfect Strike for the group members to take reference and to compare the third party models to the official. Here's a shot of the official Bandai Strike with all the basic Striker Packs!

Look at Jeffery and his adorable smile! ;) Dustin came in midway through the meeting!

So the assembly was separated. Scene (George said Sean) and Jayson worked on the Skygrasper. This was Scene's first time attending one of our meetings. Shout-outs to Scene's roommate(?) Doug for letting him know about the club. Thanks Doug! P.S. <to Doug> I recommend a MG Zaku ;)

Jeffery and Dustin worked on the Sword Striker pack. Looks like someone was a bit clumsy with his knives...

Oh Jeffery... I hope it wasn't too bad.

George did the Launcher Striker Pack himself. Altogether, the group completed about 50% of the Striker Packs. Pretty impressive considering the fact that third party kits are typically harder to work with.

Here's George's Launcher Strike progress:

Of course, here's Dustin and poor Jeffery's sword strike progress with the Launcher:

So it seems they slapped on the Dragon Momoko Sword Striker Pack (Right) along with the Bandai Sword Striker Pack (Left). Great comparison picture. You can see the DM kit has much more details molded in and a bit more color separation in parts. How well it holds together may be another story (I didn't ask). Looks good. I personally prefer the high detail in the DM kit.

As a bonus, George put together his recently received P-Bandai HG Blast Impulse Gundam Revive and brought it along side with a HG Force Impulse Gundam Revive for comparison and display. Apparently, The blast Impulse does not come with a bazooka and the shoulder mounted cannons are hollow on the back side... P-Bandai... sigh...

Even though the group did not finish the Striker Packs this week, they all agreed to finish it next meeting.

The last topic of this meeting was the club orders. This quarter we decided to order from HobbyWave! I personally did not get anything but from what I heard Scene ordered a MG MKII Ver.2.0 AEUG, Jayson went with the huge MG Rezel Type C, and Jeffery added the RG Wing Ver. Ka to his collection! The club orders are generally for members to order kits on shipping discount so that they would have a kit to work on for the next quarter.

Anyways, till next time!
